Anyone associated with Lace Gumnuts knew Noelene Lafferty. Her love of lace, people, and teaching people lace was second to none, and her collection (AKA stash) was also second to none! This stash is her legacy to the lacemakers of Australia.
Noelene got to see her son John have a super successful heart and kidney transplant, and got to see him back on his beloved pushbike. Unfortunately late last year she succumbed to the hardships associated with dialysis, and passed away on 6 August 2024.
John has spent the last 6 months, with the help of Lydia and Allyson, painstakingly documenting Noelene’s legacy stash and is now ready to share it with anyone that is interested.
John and Julia will be hosting a stall at the Crafty Frog Market in Kambah this coming Saturday 6 December 2025, so your options for recieving your desired items are pickup at the markets, delivery by Australia Post, pre-arranged pickup in Canberra at a later date, and possible pickup in/around St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney in January when John goes up for his second annual review of his transplants.
